What is the role of a Life Celebrant?
A certified Life Celebrant will create a personalized funeral service based on cherished memories and the life story of your loved one. This service is provided for families that identify themselves as “spiritual”, but not religious, as well as for families and individuals who do not have a Pastor, Minister, Clergy or church affiliation. Funeral Celebrants provide a distinct and unique personalized service that honours the life and the memories of your loved one. These services can be held in the Funeral Chapel, park, garden and private homes… wherever the needs of the family are best met.
Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel welcomes Lynett Getz RSW, as a Certified Funeral Celebrant to join Gary Goran. Lynett is a long time resident of Medicine Hat and is a registered Social Worker. As well as fulfilling her role as a Funeral Celebrant, Lynett will also be offering and facilitating bereavement support groups. Lynett and Gary will provide support for families and individuals seeking assistance as they transition through their grief journey.
