October has arrived, do you know what that means? Pumpkin spiced everything has already started taking over. Did you know we now offer pumpkin spice oil changes? How do we do it? It's such a complex process even I don't quite understand it! *

During the month of October everyone seems to be talking about Halloween, but not me.

I like discussing Thanksgiving. It's the one time of year everyone thinks about and talks about what they are thankful for.

What am I thankful for? I'm thankful for my family and friends, I'm very thankful to work for a company that puts our customers first. It is our mission to be the best oil change in Saskatoon, and, thanks to our customers, I believe that to be coming true. So I am also thankful for all of the customers of Lubrication Station supporting our 100% local business and allowing us to continue to serve you every day (except Sunday, everyone needs a break).

Speaking of being thankful, have you noticed when it's been a long time since you've had your last oil change your car may start to run rough? Maybe an irregular idle? Or poor fuel economy? After you drain the dirty oil and put the clean in the engine those things start to improve. Have you ever thought that your car could be grateful for that service? Lubrication Station understands that not everybody is in the same place financially and can't always get every service as required, but when you are able to perform extra services on your vehicle it becomes very thankful.

October is also the month a lot of us don't look forward to because of one thing not everyone is fond of. It's a four letter word I personally don't like, that's right, snow. Generally, it never fails to snow right around the end of October, which means that winter is coming fast. People start thinking “am I ready for winter?” and your vehicle is no exception to this as once that cold weather starts to hit it starts to act differently. We are here to help prevent a drastic change in your vehicle's performance through this weather changeover.

Be wise, Winterize!

That's something we say a lot around this time of year. At Lubrication Station we do our best by asking when was your last oil change? When was the last time you had an engine flush or a fuel-system cleaning? Do you know when the radiator system was last flushed?

The reason these questions are important is that our winters get very cold - insides of engines and fuel systems collect moisture, sludge, and carbon, that can and will harm your vehicle if not attacked regularly.

So before the weather changes come by Lubrication Station so we can help make sure your vehicle is winter ready.

Thanks for reading and for supporting a local company!
