In 1975, Jerry Simmering made the decision to become an entrepreneur. Combining his interest in older homes and his belief in the quality sleep the waterbed could provide, the first Leisure Living Bedrooms location was opened in Calgary in a turn of the century house near the Stampede Grounds. Leisure Living Bedrooms has come full circle; operating in Red Deer since 1977 it is now located in downtown Red Deer, nestled in a 1950's era house on the corner of 53 St. and 47 Ave., one block north of the Co-op.
In the last 40 years one thing has not changed and that is Jerry's enthusiasm to share his knowledge of the products he carries. Quality, comfort and convenience are Jerry's primary focus. Waterbeds have evolved and now resemble conventional sleep sets with dual bladders and individual heaters for personalized comfort in the King and Queen size beds. The reduced pressure points of a flotation bed and the warmth are still the reason customers choose waterbeds. We now have a new generation appreciating the benefits of floatation sleep; enjoying the comfort and warmth derived from a waterbed that their parents and grandparents enjoyed.
High density foam mattresses, quality and specialized bedding, futons and futon covers have gradually become part of the selection offered at Leisure Living Bedrooms.
In the waterbed section we handle a full range of water mattresses, liners, heaters and accessories. There is nothing comparable to floatation for weight distribution and lower pressure points. It is all about comfort.

Foam mattresses are available in all sizes with foam being cut for special size R.V. mattresses, sofa cushions and all types of projects. Foam costs are determined by density (weight per cubic foot) and volume (cubic inches)
Bedding is available from a variety of suppliers with custom and hard to find sizes available. Enjoy quality bedding for a quality sleep. It is all about comfort.
