If you missed the October edition of The Experts®, you may be asking yourself, what happened to Blair, Gripp, Stubbs and Associates Radiology Diagnostic Imaging Centre. Well, it is still there, same ownership and staff. The only difference is we have rebranded our name to BGSA Radiology and now have a catchy tag line, “An essential part of your Healthcare team”, as this is how our staff and ownership feel about looking after your healthcare concerns.
MRI was added to our list of modalities and services we offer at BGSA Radiology. Unfortunately, a lot of the citizens of Medicine Hat and surrounding area seem to know little about it. BGSA installed the MRI unit a year ago and have been scanning since Dec, 2015. The unit was installed to give the citizens of Medicine Hat and surrounding area an alternative to waiting for an appointment at the MHRH and the extended AHS wait time and list. Yes, we charge for the service, but this is due to AHC not covering the service if it is done outside an AHS facility. We are very competitive with Calgary and other centres, but the upside of having your MRI at BGSA Radiology are you stay in your own community, no travelling, wear and tear on your vehicle, the need to take less time away from work and you can get your scan within a week's time.
